Fresh Oranges in the winter. Yum. We can't get enough of them around here! There's not a kid walking these halls of mine that doesn't love a good orange. That is a relief! Kids with a love for a good healthy orange.
Orange Juice...? They love it just as much! (If given the opportunity, the two children pictured above would drink OJ at every meal and three times between each meal.)
I was very happy to discover that Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice contains 16 picked fresh oranges in each 59 oz container. That's not too shabby! I was equally excited to learn this wonderful juice has no added sugar, artificial flavors, sweetener or water. Amazing. They don't even add water? That is a lot of orange!
One 8 ounce glass of Tropicana Orange Juice has a fulls day's supply of vitamin C, as much potassium as a banana and is a natural source of the vitamin B foliate. That is something I can feel good about! We all want to feel good about the food we are supplying for our little ones. I have been pleased to learn that Tropicana Orange Juice is good through and through. Think of it as handing your kidlets an orange in the liquid form. A fantastic way to put a little bit of "good" in your morning.

I make sure my breakfast is a balanced one! I have a good amount of protein paired with a whole grain carb and some kind of fruit or vegetable. Some of my favorite breakfasts are omelets (egg whites, cheese, spinach) and topped waffles (toasted waffle topped with almond butter and 100% fruit spread)! I also have vitamins every morning!
ReplyDeleteGood nutrition??? Most anything will do as long as I have Diet Dr Pepper to go along with it.
ReplyDeleteHealthy eating around here includes fresh or dried fruit for snacks, a bowl of oatmeal (it's gotta be McCann's steel cut Irish oats--best tasting oatmeal ever!) for breakfast, and eating chocolate as much as possible.
ReplyDeletebamckinnnon@gmail.com
On a school day morning it is peanut butter sandwich on wheat toast and orange juice. I'd love to be one of those moms that cook breakfast, but my kiddo likes to sleep until the last second. I just try my best to get him to eat something!!
ReplyDeleteSince my breakfast is usually a bowl of cereal, I add a banana or raisins to it to give it something extra. I also drink tropicana (trop 50). If its the weekend or we are too busy we make fruit smoothies out of mixed berries, banana, and orange juice. They are soooo good!.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win!

I grew up with Breakfast being, as mom put it "the most important meal of the day". So no surprise...my kids got cooked breakfast pretty much every day. We love cracked wheat with blueberries!!!
ReplyDeletealewis42@cox.net
We love making fruit smoothies for breakfast. Some fresh spinach, a splash of OJ and frozen fruit. Yum!!

ReplyDeleteBreakfast around here is hit and miss. My son likes to have breakfast at school (yay for healthy school breakfasts!), hubby likes leftovers (yeah, weird) and the 3 year old loves pancakes or waffles. I try to make them as healthy as possible by making them whole wheat or buckwheat. I use yogurt in the batter and add a peanut butter or fruit topping. Sometimes I'll sneak applesauce and bananas into the batter if he's just wanting things plain.

As a kid my mom always made us a good morning shake in her Vita mix...now I've carried on the tradition. It's amazing what you can put in those things (spinach, carrots, flax seed, green powder) and not even know as long as you have a few handfuls of frozen berries to mask the flavor and make it a beautiful purple color. We also love oatmeal with peanut butter and sweet potato in it!

ReplyDeleteEating healthy around here is a little different. My husband has to eat twice the amount of calories to stay in his ideal weight range and my two year old girl is just like her dad. I'm constantly looking for ways to add good fats and carbs to their food to up their caloric intake. I add olive oil to their eggs and serve with avocado. We eat a lot of whole grains in our cereals (hot and cold). I blend in some cottage cheese to our pancake and waffle batter. After all those filling goods it gets difficult to get them to eat all the fruits and veges they need. I love, love, love juice. I have a juicer and serve some vege/fruit juice every morning. I do love to buy orange juice. It seems like the only fruit juice I can count on being 100% without all the unnatural things.

Grapefruit juice or orange juice make the perfect start to the day.
ReplyDeleteOur life revolves around breakfast and dinner. We eat breakfast as family each morning, before my husband leaves to work at 6. At first I dreaded mornings,I am unlike my husband who is a morning person. But I wanted to spend more time with him, and a chance to see him in the morning was worth it. Just that simple thing of making breakfast for him and our family, has really continued to strengthen our relationship. So even thought I love sleeping in, I wouldn't trade the bond for anything. That IS our healthy breakfast. I make anything from biscuits and gravy, pancakes, crepes, muffins, monkey bread, breakfast burros...we love our breakfasts, and over the years I have come to learn how to make any breakfast for a family of 6 in 30 minutes or less. There's nothing like sitting around the table, with all of our family.

ReplyDeleteI have a bowl of oatmeal sprinkled with brown sugar. And I eat my orange instead of drinking it.
ReplyDeleteMornings are not complete around here without a glass of orange juice. Not just any orange juice though. It has to be Tropicana-and I'm not just saying that, it's true. Best orange juice ever! amandaosanford@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteI have a healthy breakfast with oatmeal and mix in some walnuts--and often I follow with a quick Tropicana chaser!

We've always been an orange juice family, too. And since I discovered Tropicana a few months ago, there's been no turning back. Why didn't someone tell me how much better it was before?!
ReplyDeleteI like to keep a couple gallons of orange juice in the fridge (we are a big family) and at least a couple of good options ready for breakfast - waffles, oatmeal, eggs. Most breakfast foods are a quick fix, so it's easy to get to the eating.

Oh I just love Tropicana Orange Juice, my new favorite is the Trop50. I have lost over 73 lbs. on weight watchers and daily health is vital. My children are much more aware of what they are eating and making sure we have included foods from all areas of the food pyramid. The amount of fruits and veggies that we eat is huge so a $100 gift card would really be a blessing! My email is bethfraser22 at hotmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWe have a bowl of cereal and a glass of OJ every morning!

Anywhere I can puree & hide it, I do =) Especially, orange juice with carrot puree popsicles! amyk 9274 at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteI add carrot juice to any other kind of juice my kids are drinking and I always try and keep fruit avalilabe. No white bread unless we are making french toast. I also keep crackers and cheese on hand since it is a healthier snack that my kids will actually eat.

ReplyDeleteOops . . . I forgot my email address the first time. My ideal healthy breakfast would be a bowl of oatmeal with a little cinnamon and sliced bananas or a wheat english muffin with an egg and a slice of ham, but my real breakfast is usually two pieces of wheat toast with butter spray.

Breakfast at my house consists of coffee for Mommy and a variety of hot and cold options and juice for the two little ones. Their favorites are french toast caserole, homemade oatmeal raisin breakfast cookies or blueberry muffins, whole wheat bagels with cream cheese, or the staple go to: Cheerios (the plain yellow box) - the girls just love 'em.

My kids are good eaters. I try to make sure fresh fruit, juice, and healthy grains are available for them. They will eat whatever is in the kitchen--so I guess it's up to me to ensure it's nutritious! We have Tropicana in the fridge right now :)

I am trying to do better at even eating breakfast. I actually try to go the least calorie route so that I have more calories for the rest of the day. I usually don't think about drinking juice over eating that fruit so this is good to know. I would love to win this. Email address is: sthomasaz@yahoo.com. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI usually eat a graham cracker and a cup of coffee for breakfast. I save all my calories for my dinner, I'm a huge dinner eatter ;o)

We always try to include some fresh fruit in our breakfast routine. Some of our most common breakfasts are Greek yogurt with some fresh fruit, a fruit smoothie or pancakes with a fresh fruit topping.

I include good nutrition in my daily breakfast routine by planning ahead. We always have orange juice and a bran muffin or a smoothie with orange juice, yogurt and favor fruit. Sometime a big breakfast with eggs, orange juice and fruit.
