  1. Bread, milk & butter are top of my list! Lately tho I've been buying butter a few at a time at Aldi's, the cheapest I've found, and putting it in the freezer. I tend to use alot in the winter, guess cause I bake more! AND Kroger is one of my favorite stores, love the 10/$10 sales!! Sandy

  4. We buy sausage, tater tots, and fresca. When my Wife (Dana) has to work at night, she always leaves me tots and sausage. The fresca is hers. If I had a 25.00 gift card, I might ask her to make me one of your blueberry cheesecakes to go with the tots.
Hey, thanks for making my Thanksgiving dessert table so great last year!

  20. Oh dear. I pretty much just hand my husband's paycheck over to the local Smith's several times a month. What DON'T I buy on a regular basis? Every time I go there I get comments like, "I hope you're almost done shopping because you can't fit anything else in that cart of yours." Oh, and instead of saying, "Did you find everything you were looking for?" the checkers usually say, "Wow. Did you buy the whole store?" For real. Those were real life comments from yesterday's shopping trip. It's awesome. With 6 kids and my oldest boys going thru major growth spurts what do you expect? :)

I love trying new recipes and I recently watched Julia and Julia and it put me in the mood to try some authentic and maybe a little challenging recipes. Just the other night I made artichokes with hollandaise sauce and my family loved it. I really look forward to the recipes emailed to me almost daily. Keep it up.

  23. Our family prefers organic and unprocessed food. So we buy lots of fruit and veggies. But sometime when I'm in a hurry I know I can trust the Kroger brand because many of the their store brand items such as salsa or spaghetti sauce do not have MSG or other harmful preservatives. But I always double check the labels.
I love your blog/website! I also come from a long line of Eskelson on my mother side! It would be fun to chat to see where our lines cross.
